There is this huge myth that adequate protein can only be found in meat but the truth is that protein can be found in other plant-based foods like vegetables, whole grains, and legumes without the health risks of meat and other animal products.
A half cup of tofu contains 13 grams of protein and not linked to diabetes. A cup of lentils has 16 grams of protein without the cholesterol. Split peas have 16 grams of protein per cup and are cholesterol free and did you know that just one broccoli stalk has more than 4 grams of protein while being very low in calories? The list goes for where to find excellent sources of plant-based protein.
