5 Ways to Avoid Weight Gain During the Holidays
I love this time of year. We have so much to celebrate. Here are 5 ways you can enjoy all the festivities without putting on unwanted weight.
#1: Watch the Sugar - It's hard to say no to sweets when we are surrounded by cookies, cakes and pies. Instead of saying no, just take bite-size pieces. Often a bite or 2 of something sweet is all we really want.
#2: Don't Go Hungry - When heading off to a party eat a healthy snack to help you from overeating at the party. When eating at a party eat more of the healthy food and only small quantities of the calorie filled foods.
#3: Step away from the food - If there are appetizers placed on a table don't stand close to the table. Take a plate of food and then walk away so you are not tempted to continue to grab just one more piece.
#4: Workout in the morning and eat a healthy breakfast - When we start our day healthy, we are more likely to continue being healthy throughout the day.
#5: Watch your Drinks - Most drinks served at parties are filled with calories and sugar. If you indulge in a drink switch to water after you have one.
You really can start off the New Year without putting on weight during the Christmas Season! A little self-control goes a long way!!
